SHARE YOUR LIFE ON THE LAKE
A ‘Newbie’ – we bought our property in Cooranbong, in October 2019 and made the move up from Sydney. We have not looked back!
Coming from such a busy, fast paced area previously, what I love most about where we live is the slow pace, friendly people and being so close to the lake!
Having a set routine helps, knowing I have a gym class to get to and then get straight into a day of work! Working from home fulltime since COVID has just instilled in me even more the importance of planning out my day and getting out of the house as much as possible!
Wake up between 5-6am (depending when my daughter wakes up), Gym class at Girl Guide Health at 7am, back home to make some breakfast and help get my daughter ready for Daycare. Its either daycare drop off or get straight in to work!
Definitely my family, I want to be strong, fit and healthy for my daughter and to lead by example so she inspires me to get up in the mornings and get my but to the gym even when I am not feeling up for it!
My husband and my mum are also huge sources of inspiration, both extremely kind, hard working and always thinking about those around them!
Usually my husband Brad, or my mum!
My husband and my mum are also huge sources of inspiration, both extremely kind, hard working and always thinking about those around them!
Abbeys Coffee Co. Abbey sets up at the Roundabout on Freemans drive and I love her coffee! I’m always greeted with a big smile!
One of our favourites is 8 at Trinity Point! They do great coffee and breakfast menu but I think their cocktails are even better!
Lake Macquarie is an amazing place, when you can join friends on a boat and cruise around to a special restaurant on the lake for lunch. For us, 8 at Trinity Point is that place!
Charli and Lenni – On the boulevard in Toronto – they have the cutest kids’ clothes and accessories!
When my hair needs some love, its Auguste Jones Salon in Belmont. For everyday beauty its got to be Skin Deep Beauty in Morisset, and Carla at Cosmetic Rejuvenation Clinic in Warners Bay is wonderful!
Dress for Success Sydney – It is a great organisation that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
I recently organised a clothing drive at my work where I asked my colleagues to bring in any unwanted or unused work wear, it was a huge success!
I try to shop and buy locally as often as possible, whether that is the fruit stall on the side of the road, our local Watagan Honey or use local services for beauty, clothing etc.
Loyal, Thoughtful and determined!
My daughter – hands down! Every day in so many ways!
Hopefully with a few more kids, perhaps have purchased another property (close to the water) and thriving in my work life as well!
I nominate Emily Ferris! Not only is she a devoted mum, she also runs a successful concreting company with her husband, and are very generous with their support of the local community including cricket and rugby league.
Emily is definitely a woman of style!
